I hate it when bloggers apologize on their blogs for not posting more often. I’m like, “It’s your job–what else are you so busy with? Just sit down and blog!” But, to be honest, the past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind for me. As you might know, tomorrow I’m leaving my amazing home in NYC to spend the summer in Los Angeles. This last blog post from New York was shot in Times Square as an ode to this incredible city.
Living in New York for the past 9 months (yes, it’s been that long) has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. Those who know me, personally, know there were lots of tears during my first few weeks here. New York is definitely very different from my home in sunny, friendly, laid-back California. But, despite the rough adjustment, I’ve definitely fallen in love with the city
I won’t necessarily miss the snow and the humidity which wreak havoc on my hair and skin, and I won’t miss the pushy subway commuters who shove me and step on me, but I’ll certainly miss the energy and endless possibility of life in the Big Apple.
So long, New York–it’s been real! Hopefully I’ll be back in September to establish a more permanent residence here #fingerscrossed, but for now: c’est la vie.
