15 Sweaters that Look Expensive–But Aren’t!

Wherever in the world you live–even you Aussies out there, where it’s summer right now–it’s never the wrong season for a good sweater.  Sweaters are great for everything from layering to lounging, so I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorites that look expensive, but really all cost under $50! Click on the image to shop each look :) ENJOY!

Menswear Watch

As you’ve probably already noticed, I really like to wear big, chunky things. Whether it’s my high-top Adidas, chunky Dr. Martens, or just an oversized bag–I like how larger things look on my petite frame.

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with the idea of buying myself a menswear watch. I’ve been salivating over Rolex’s, Omegas, and Movados, but they are all so expensive! Then I stumbled across this site called, Invaluable, that has all of these watches for below-retail prices on auction. I couldn’t help but share the site with you guys.

I’ve already picked out a watch that I love from Invaluable and planned an outfit around it. What do you all think?

Mystery Clutch

I have received countless emails about the “blue skull clutch” from this photo I posted on Instagram last week. (Lowkey, I’m so excited about all the feedback/engagement I’ve been getting lately. Thank you all SO much!) Anyway, here’s the link to the mystery clutch. It’s from an overseas retailer called Choies–which I absolutely love. (Of course the clutch went on sale AFTER I bought it…happens…)

Happy shopping, you guys!

Summer’s Must-Have T-Shirt

Nikki Dror

As you already know, if you follow me on Instagram (@fourelevenblog) or on AnnexMagazine.com, I attended a press event at Cotton On’s Santa Monica store earlier this week. The Australian retailer has just launched their new line of basic T’s, called “The One”. I was originally invited to view the line on behalf of Annex–but I was so impressed with these t-shirts that I decided to write a post for my Four Eleven readers, as well!

Basically, Cotton On knows aaaall about how important a favorite t-shirt can be to a girl…#thestruggleisreal. So their design team sat down and basically solved any problem you’ve ever had in your previous relationships with t-shirts. “The One” t-shirts are 100% cotton (super breathable), has great drape (hello, flattering), has no woven tag (goodbye itchiness), and comes in several different styles and colors (pro tip: buy them all!) My favorite part about this T, is that the fine slub cotton can be worn casually or be dressed up under a blazer!

The ad campaign for the line features Australian personality, Lara Bingle, wearing not a stitch of makeup–so for this shoot, I did the same! Can I get a “hell yeah” for the perfect basicness of this slouchy, amazing T?

This Week in Fashion Highlights

Firstly, let’s start with the Oscars. Everyone has been asking me which Hollywood actresses made it onto my personal best-dressed list. And, indisputably, my favorite gown of the night was worn by Maria Menounos. Everything from her hair to her make-up was just flawless. The jewels and the open back on this gown basically rendered it my fantasy wedding dress! Loved it!

Next, let’s talk about Paris Fashion Week. Saying you’re interested in fashion but not following the Paris shows is like saying you’re interested in football but not actually watching the games. So you should read up if you haven’t already. But incase you don’t have the time, here are the three highest trending Paris Fashion Week topics right now:

Slide1

1. Kendall Jenner. The internet is abuzz with the 18-year-old model who walked in the Givenchy (pronounced jee-von-shee, fyi) and Chanel shows.

2. Super Market Runway. Speaking of Chanel, if you missed their Paris runway, you need to Google it immediately. They set it up to look like a grocery store, and the results were absolutely incredible. Just make sure that if this comes up in conversation, you know the gist.

3. Cara Delevingne. If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with this girl. I didn’t think she could get any more adorable until I saw her in the Stella McCartney show. During the finale, when all the models walk together one last time, Cara started skipping and dancing down the runway. It couldn’t have been more charming! (Especially in contrast to Givenchy’s scowling models…)

Another fashion highlight of this week was Nicolas Ghesquière’s debut show as Louis Vuitton’s new creative director. This is a really big deal, following Marc Jacobs’ breakup with the brand after 16 years in the position.

And lastly, Isaac Mizrahi announced yesterday that he has an autobiography in the works. I’m freakishly excited about it. There’s never a dull moment in the wacky, wonderful world of Mr. Mizrahi.
